Scoped buyer / service brief

Source-to-proof document QA for EDGAR & XBRL specialist teams

Partner-SOP proof support

Illustrative business photography, not our office or a client reference

The business-specific assignment

Classify findings using the partner’s severity scheme and preserve its review evidence. Disclose whether final review is performed by the partner rather than an internal second operator.

Your coordinator: Production heads and specialist team leads.

The source context may include assigned word, html, proofing and supervised structured-data queues.

Illustrative production scenario

A warning disposition should record the partner reviewer’s rationale, not be hidden to make the delivery look cleaner.

This is an example of the control to test, not a measured client result or an accepted filing. Ask the named reviewer to define success before production starts.

Inputs and outputs

Provide these inputs:

  • Approved source and review package
  • Agreed production checklist and comparison baseline
  • Named content and specialist reviewers

A scoped handoff can contain:

  • Text/numeric/structure/package review findings
  • Severity, owner and proposed action for each issue
  • Retest log or unresolved decision list

Review focus

  • Use visual proof and extracted text together; neither replaces the other.
  • Treat content loss, missing files and malformed applicable iXBRL as blockers.
  • Record validator configuration and review warnings rather than suppressing them.

The specialist partner owns client access, assignment, platform permission and final review.

What is outside this assignment

This is production QA—not a securities-law audit, accounting assurance engagement or guarantee of SEC acceptance.

Contract work must respect employment restrictions, licensed seats and approved subcontractor access.

Plan the handoff

Agree source freeze, version naming, one instruction stream, correction allowance and escalation contact. Confidential materials belong only in the separately approved transfer route.
